Our principles

How we decide what is worth your attention.

You are not hiring a tool. You are hiring the judgment that decides which tools deserve a place in your firm. These are the rules that judgment runs on, and they are the ones we expect to be held to.

The seven principles

What constrains every decision we make.

Listen first, always

We open every relationship the same way, with one question: tell me more about your business. A recommendation that did not start from how your firm actually works is a guess wearing a suit.

AI strategy is knowing what will still matter in a year

Most new AI capability looks identical from the outside, and a great deal of it will not matter in a year. Sorting the durable from the merely impressive on your behalf is the work you are hiring for. We would rather be early on one thing that holds than fluent in ten that do not.

The recommendation must survive the meeting

Advice is easy to give and expensive to act on. Every recommendation names the intended KPI, the systems involved, who owns it, and what it costs to do nothing, so the decision can be re-examined later on its merits.

Sometimes the right answer is to wait

A consultancy paid to recommend things has an obvious incentive to recommend things. We say plainly when a capability is not ready, when a process should be fixed before it is automated, and when your money is better spent elsewhere.

AI serves the professional relationship, never replaces it

Your clients hire your firm for judgment, discretion, and accountability that no system can carry. We build so the mechanical work stops consuming the people who provide those things, never so a machine stands in their place.

A constraint you cannot inspect is not a safeguard

Approvals, access, retention, and exception handling get written down where a responsible person can read them. For firms holding privileged, regulated, or client-confidential material, a promise in a sales conversation is not a control.

No manufactured proof

We only claim what is true and traceable. No invented numbers, no inflated results, no borrowed credibility. Truline has no client case study yet, and until it does, this site will keep saying so.
